I have worked as a case manager in the Advocate Program at Crisis Services for 5.5 years; first with survivors of domestic violence and now with survivors of sexual assault. Our agency is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide services to our clients, who come from all walks of life and from all over Erie County. These services include responding to hospital emergency rooms, access to a crisis hotline, court advocacy, therapy, linkage with crime victim compensation, and emotional support (among many other services). It's not easy, but it's worth it.

Most importantly, these services are provided at no cost to our clients. In order to make this possible, we rely on grants and donations. That's why it's so crucial to support events like Walk A Mile, because 100% of the proceeds go to our program to ensure that these services are maintained.

Join me in supporting real change! Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is a community event, working to raise awareness in our neighborhood regarding sexual and domestic violence issues. Everyone plays an important role in preventing violence. Help spread the word, and join me if you like!

To learn more about Walk A Mile, on Sunday, April 29th, check out the Facebook page.

Any contribution you are able to make is sincerely appreciated. Several small steps add up to create lasting change!

Thank you, sincerely, on behalf of myself, my coworkers and colleagues, and our clients.
